Taste for Hope raises $330,000 to help end chronic homelessness in Ottawa.

The 11th Taste for Hope gala, in support of the Shepherds of Good Hope Foundation, raised over $335,000 on May 15th.

“Since its inception, Taste for Hope has raised over $1.1 million to help end chronic homeless in Ottawa,” says Shepherds of Good Hope Foundation CEO, David Gourlay. “This is our eleventh Taste for Hope, and we will add another $335,000 to that total!”

This event is for the community and is only possible thanks to the kindness of so many individuals and businesses who are all committed to helping people experiencing homelessness in Ottawa.

The numbers speak for themselves. 550 guests packed the fourth floor of the inspirationally decorated Shaw Centre. 35 sponsors, including lead sponsor Ideal Roofing, invested in the event. 30 volunteers invested their time. 20 partners shared their expertise.

At the centre of all this are the 21 chefs, and 7 beverage partners who invested their time, talent, delicious food, and delectable drinks.

“To see so many people come together, under one roof, so that we could provide a roof, support and hope to those experiencing homelessness is an inspiring and overwhelming sight.” says Gourlay. Stay tuned for Taste for Hope 2025!
