The video, featuring Ottawa musicians Michael Curtis Hanna, James Rooke, Jeff Asselin, Tyler Kealey, and the London Trio Plus, is an uplifting tribute to the people served by Shepherds of Good Hope and to the staff, volunteers and sharing community.

“The music and melody for Hold Me Now came to me after I visited Shepherds’ downtown location for the first time,” says producer Eric Eggleston. “Seeing the dedication and incredible work being done there, was profound.”

Eric was instrumental in creating a trilogy of musical tributes for Shepherds of Good Hope. Iconic classic Here Comes the Sun is a musical love letter to Ottawa and the work at Shepherds of Good Hope.

Lean on Me by Bill Withers was produced in celebration of Shepherds 40th Anniversary in 2023.

Ben E. King’s Stand by Me was filmed during the height of Covid and speaks to the rebirth and reemergence of hope at Shepherds of Good Hope.

“Music connects all of us,” says Shepherds of Good Hope Foundation CEO, David Gourlay. “Under the direction of Eric, these inspiring musicians came together to lend their talents and help tell the story of hope and a brighter future through the power of song.”

Hold me Now” is the fourth chapter in a musical songbook Eric is helping us create,” says Gourlay. “The lyrics come magically through the song, inspiring all of us to hold each other and hold ourselves, because love for fellow human beings starts from within.”
