Everyone who lives, works and volunteers in one of Shepherds of Good Hope’s five supportive housing residences has a unique story to share.

CTV News was onsite at 1095 Merivale Road, home to 57 residents living in supportive housing.

The story was told from the perspective of Tammy – a registered nurse with Ottawa Inner City Health, who, along with her colleagues, provides 24/7 care to the residents.

Adrienne, who manages all of Shepherds supportive housing residences, spoke about the various programs and services offered at 1095 Merivale. She also touched on how Shepherds focusses on helping residents integrate into their new community.

Finally, the reporter also spent time with John and Tiger, both veterans of the armed forces, who expressed their gratitude for having a safe, warm place to call home.
